We are celebrating Suzanne Braun Levine’s new book, Fifty is the New Fifty : 10 Life Lessons for Women in Second Adulthood and her new website; www.suzannebraunlevine.com (official launch to coincide with the April 6 pub date; Viking).
Suzanne is the author of Inventing the Rest of Our Lives: Women in Second Adulthood, was an editor at Ms. Magazine, the Columbia Journalism Review, and is now a contributing editor for More magazine. She’s lectured widely and has appeared on numerous national television and radio programs (NPR) and has large following among women and organizations dedicated to women’s issues and media.
She will be appearing on the Today Show, March 25, in their 10 a.m. hour in a segment on “Age is Just a Number” with two other guests: Sonya Hamlin, a communications pioneer, and Dr. Belisa Vranick, clinical psychologist who is launching a new radio show on Maxim Radio.
There are lot of events, press and media interviews planned for the launch of Suzanne’s book and the site (the first fifty people to sign up for the Newsletter will receive a free copy of the book!).
The new book is really a remarkable collection of anecdotes and insights from what Suzanne calls the frontlines of self-reinvention - women in this new generation who are discovering their own voice, confronting change, renegotiating relationships, work life and their priorities. In fact, making themselves a priority - many for the first time in their lives! It’s an exciting stage for over 37 million women in this age group - a huge political and cultural shift in our society.
We can’t wait to have women join in the conversation on the site…lots of stories, humor, and new ideas on this stage of life.
You will be happy to find out “50″ is NOT the new 30, and most women are happy being 50, 60, 70 and beyond.
So join the fun @ www.suzannebraunlevine.com
More changes coming to this site too!
