Working with Ms. Magazine in the ‘70s, The Wonder Woman Foundation (founded by DC Comics, Inc. and Warner Communications, Inc.) and numerous other authors and not-for-profit groups in the ‘80s, and her work with the DONAHUE show in the late ’80s and ‘90s, she has always capitalized on an editorial, news and issue-oriented approach to media relations.

She is committed to progress for women and children. She has worked with the Free to Be…You and Me projects pioneered by Marlo Thomas and Friends, through Ms. Magazine in the ’70s, the Girls Clubs of America, Inc. and DC Comics, Inc. to honor Sally Ride, the first US female astronaut to travel in space, the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill’s Leadership Workshop Program for Girls and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Poughkeepsie Day School.

She is working to promote the principles of self-confidence, friendship, loyalty and love of horses that the television series celebrates. Based on the bestselling book series by Bonnie Bryant, The Saddle Club continues to inspire girls and boys around the world.

Throughout her career she has worked to effect positive social and political change. She is a founding member of the Human Rights Watch Committee of Canada, and is active on the HRW Toronto Film Festival Committee.
